Tiger Town was established in 2001 to provide an economical place for families to shop while creating funding for WCCA's home delivered meals program in the upper end of the county. For every $5 you donate or purchase, you have provided one home delivered meal for a home bound senior. Tiger Town is a division of Western Carolina Community Action, (WCCA) and staffed by volunteers and a part time manager.
Tiger Town accepts gently used furniture, household goods, books, jewlery, and clothes for resale. Donations are welcome - please be sure clothes are clean and free of any stains or tears and that household items are in working order. Unfortunately, we do not accept TV's, mattreses, sleeping pillows or used computers.
Our greatest need is furniture - because that is the most requested item from our customers.
Sales from Tiger Town Thrift Store go towards our low-income senior meal programs such as our Lunch Plus programs at Silvermont and at the Quebec Community Center, mobil meals in the Rosman and Quebec areas and an Ensure program that provides liquid nutrition for our most fragile low-income seniors.
Monday - Friday 10am to 4pm
